Last night I got the chance to play my very first clan based war on the pc in a half life 2 mod called Age of Chgivalry. Our clan nicknamed “Pleasure to kill” tag:PtK, named after the second studio album by German thrash metal band Kreator. Enjoyed an epic win over their rivalries SISU.

PtK’s first proper Age of Chivalry war against SISU was a very close match which narrowly avoided going into a decider by winning at stoneshill with only 6 seconds remaining!

After another tight battle on darkforest, PtK managed to defend enough to take a 1-0 lead into the stoneshill match. Well done to all players invovled.. Very epic game, heaps of fun. check out the mod here: http://www.age-of-chivalry.com it’s a free..

An Epic debate is underway in our country. Proposed climate legislation would have a far-reaching impact on your standard of living and give government a portal into every aspect of our lives. The affordable, dependable and abundant energy upon which any great civilization is build is about to be rationed. Climate Chains is our effort to engage the culture, to petition a more reasoned approach to the intellectual debate that to often gets lost or overlooked in the irrational rush to pass climate legislation in an atmosphere of national and global panic. When you’ve built the greatest civilization in human history, fundamental changes in the economics of that system must be made with the most sober of consideration.

Bob Dylan is a legendary singer-songwriter and charter member of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame, but to one culturally untutored 22-year-old police officer in Long Branch, New Jersey, he was just an eccentric, suspicious-looking elderly man.

After police received a call that an “old, scruffy man” was acting suspiciously in Long Branch’s Latin Quarter, a 22-year-old female officer stopped Dylan and demanded that he identify himself. Dylan complied and explained that he was visiting the seaside community to perform at a concert with Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp. Not believing his story, the officer detained Dylan in the back of her car and drove back to his hotel to investigate his story.

“She took him back to the hotel to check his papers, then she called us to check who Bob Dylan was,” police officer Craig Spencer told the London Daily Mail. “I’m afraid we fell about laughing. If it was me, I’d have been demanding his autograph, not photo ID.”

“I offered to bring in some of my Dylan albums,” continued Spencer, “but unfortunately [the young officer] didn’t know what vinyl is either.”

The third smallest sovereign nation in the world has just made an enormous contribution to relieving the world’s debt to the environment. Singapore researchers at the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (IBN) have discovered how to turn carbon dioxide into methanol…. Double take: They have found a way to make greenhouse gas green. Triple take: They took the biggest contributor to the world’s carbon footprint and converted it into a source of clean energy for the world.
Astounding.

In case you’re not jumping out of your skin yet, the IBN research was immediately sent to Angewandte Chemie, published by the German Chemical Society, and the prestigious journal called it a “hot paper,” and “very important.”
In layman’s terms, what IBN researchers discovered is that if they used N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs), an organic catalyst, as opposed to heavy metal catalysts, carbon dioxide is activated, a state which it must be in to transform it into something useful.

Then, hydrosilane, a combination of silica and hydrogen, is added to the NHC-activated carbon dioxide and, by adding water into the solution through hydrolysis, the carbon dioxide transforms into methanol.

IBN principal research scientist, Dr. Yugen Zhang, explained: “Hydrosilane provides hydrogen, which bonds with carbon dioxide in a reduction reaction. This carbon dioxide reduction is efficiently catalyzed by NHCs even at room temperature.
Methanol can be easily obtained from the product of the carbon dioxide reaction. Our previous research on NHCs has demonstrated their multiple applications as powerful antioxidants to fight degenerative diseases, and as effective catalysts to transform sugars into an alternative energy source. We have now shown that NHCs can also be applied successfully to the conversion of carbon dioxide into methanol, helping to unleash the potential of this highly abundant gas.”

I wonder when this will become front page news….?

Elkay
has created a number of creative sinks for virtually any style or
occasions, coming in a variety of shapes, styles and sizes for both
residential and commercial use. The Mystic flowing sink, however, has
to be their best yet.

As shown above, this sink design curves and winds its way through a
chosen surface. It can be set into something that is shaped like it is
or can be set against the more standard rectangular surfaces found in
most kitchens. It can be filled with ice, fruit and/or beverages for
parties.

Other sinks by Elkay come in all kinds of innovative forms with
various purposes. Some are borderline kitch, shaped like things such as
martini glasses which are great for parties but hard to envision in
most homes. Others have creative drying surfaces or other additional
functions.
